In Haskell’s House is Haunted, Haskell has recently moved from Chicago to a sleepy Alabama town that she hates. Her fear of unending boredom vanishes when, on her first day in town, she accidentally makes an enemy of the school bully, and discovers that her new home is haunted by the ghost of Lillian Buckhorn, who died mysteriously a hundred years ago. As she solves the mystery surrounding Lillian the ghost, Haskell makes new friends, is nearly struck by lightning, throws up on her teacher, and chases after the notorious Mildred Yuck, her friend’s pet tarantula that is intent on terrifying her mother. When she accidentally steals Ashley's boyfriend, Haskell finds herself fighting for her life, and only Lillian can save her.
