This workbook, based upon insights from the author's twenty year career in information technology, is intended to support the efforts of those starting out in information technology management. The workbook format guides the reader through the application of insights gleaned from the material.
About the author: For over twenty years William L. Cox has been actively involved in using information technology to improve corporate productivity. He has managed information technology for some of the largest and most respected companies in the world including Citigroup, Associates First Capital Corporation, Dean Witter Reynolds, and Sears.
In addition Mr. Cox has served as Chapter President for the Association of Information Technology Professionals; director of the Appalachian Regional Computer Expo; advisor for multiple college curriculums; and active participant in regional technology councils. He holds a Master of Science degree in Information Technology.
Some of his most notable achievements include the effective use of "burst management" to improve productivity, and authoring an effective employee performance guide using the "rubber-band man". Both of these topics, among many others, are reviewed in the book 20 Years in 20 Days - Insights for IT Managers.
